Sale of ground rent investment for new mixed use developmentWe were recently favoured with instructions by a developer client to sell the freehold ground rent investment of their new flagship riverside development on the Paynes and Borthwick Wharf site in Greenwich.

The scheme comprises 257 apartments in 8 blocks together with an underground car park of some 180 spaces. The commercial elements will comprise a substantial volume of galleries, offices, live work units, shops, warehouses and workshops.

Given the somewhat unique nature of this development, we were able to selectively and discreetly market the freehold investment interest and sold the property for in excess of the price our client first envisaged.

Once completed, the mixed use development will be managed by our residential management department.
